• Since receiving a formal diagnosis of fibromyalgia in 1994, my wife has fought medical professionals. I had always accompanied her to the physicians, even though the struggles had started much earlier, acting as a 500-pound gorilla to ensure they paid attention to her.

Not some trite medical platitude like "the hydro-famdinkie is clearly causing the bibro-fizzy discharge because the famitz is connected wrong", nope. It was concise, in plain English, and included justifications for the conclusions that should follow. Dr. Daniel Stein, myself, Sherry, our red-headed angel nurse helping, and our devoted angel patient advocate stopping by to fret and worry about us occupied our time from 1:00 pm to 7:30 pm. It does sound like a nice, supportive family, don't you think?
